Rules & Regulations

1. Eligibility
Open to high school students (grades 9–12) and bachelor's degree college students.
2. Registration Fee
No registration fee is required. Hack Club provides funding for refreshments, materials, and administration.
3. Event Format
A 24-hour overnight game development hackathon. Participants will form teams, ideate, and create innovative games. The event emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and skill-building.
4. Judging Criteria
- User Interface (UI) Design
- Game Mechanics & Functionality
- Originality and Creativity
- Code Quality and Organization
- Team Collaboration
5. Tiebreaker Round
In case of a tie, a quick game debugging challenge will be conducted. Winners will be chosen based on accuracy and efficiency.
6. Code of Conduct
- AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) are not allowed.
- Internet usage is restricted to references only.
- Plagiarism of any kind will lead to immediate disqualification.
- Bring your own laptop. Be prepared to work collaboratively.
- Maintain respect for your peers and mentors at all times.
7. Equipment & Software
Participants need to bring their own laptops and peripherals. Organizers will provide internet access, power outlets, and basic development tools such as browsers and VS Code. Game development should be done using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
8. Awards & Recognition
Top-performing teams will receive trophies, certificates, and prizes. All participants will be awarded certificates of participation.
9. Code of Ethics
Collaboration is encouraged. Participants must follow all rules and respect their peers, mentors, and judges. Any form of misconduct will result in expulsion from the event.
10. Other Notes
Ensure all submissions are completed before the event ends. Each participant will be assigned a unique ID for tracking purposes. Judges' decisions are final and binding.
